MerCruiser® Intake Air Temperature Sensors
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) and Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) sensor replacements for MerCruiser® EFI and MPI engines. The IAT sensor measures incoming air temperature used by the EFI system for fueling calculations.
IAT and MAPT are architecturally distinct. ECM-555 generation engines use a combined MAPT sensor (8M0087834) that integrates both pressure and temperature sensing. Earlier MAP-equipped engines use a discrete IAT sensor (805223T) alongside a separate MAP sensor. Do not substitute across these architectures.
