Discount Marine Parts Direct grew out of a problem familiar to many DIY boat owners: finding the correct part for a MerCruiser engine shouldn't be so difficult.
As a boating enthusiast who enjoys doing my own work, I found that the parts were often available—the challenge was determining which part actually fit my engine, production range, and serial number. The information existed, but it was scattered across OEM catalogs, parts diagrams, superseded part numbers, and supplier listings.
So I decided to build the resource I wished I had.
Our goal is simple: organize reliable parts and compatibility information so fellow boat owners can identify their engine, find the right part, and buy with greater confidence.
